I've managed to install version 2.0.12 of this plugin, but no options are available for it in Obsidian and there are no commands for using it.

According to the Obsidian settings I use "Current version: v1.5.3" and "(Installer version: v1.4.16)" of Obsidian.

I also use macOS 10.15.7 (19H2026).

Thanks, but no commands appear for the ibook plugin in the Obsidian Command Palette and none of the Hotkey commands mentioned in your linked instructions have any effect. I tried reinstalling the ibook plugin, but it didn't solve the problem.

Here's a post on the Obsidian Forum mentioning the same problem

sorry, I can't reproduce it.

"cmd +p ", and input ibook filter, then you can see:

The versions are in my original post:

According to the Obsidian settings I use "Current version: v1.5.3" and "(Installer version: v1.4.16)" of Obsidian.

I also use macOS 10.15.7 (19H2026).

My "Installer version" seems to be a bit newer than yours (1.4.16 instead of 1.4.13).

Today I updated some plugins in Obsidian (but not the ibook plugin) and after that the ibook plugin suddenly started to work. I now have access to the options and commands.

Which plugins do you think triggered it to work?

I have this issue suddenly with Obsidian V1.5.11 on MacOS 14.4. I tested with a brand new vault with nothing but iBook plugin installed and still doesn't work. There's no settings area for the template any more either.

Ok... this looks like some permissions thing perhaps since this plugin reaches out to Apple Book's data folder. I get this popup when I start Obsidian with this plugin installed, and if I say "Don't Allow", the plugin doesn't work or even show its settings section in Obsidian's preferences. Selecting "Allow" makes iBook work but... I would like to know why and how to get rid of this annoying popup.
