If you enable debug logging for record it should tell you how long each copy operation takes. logger:

Based on those copy times, it doesn't appear to be a slow disk issue. My best guess is that the thread doing recordings cleanup is just getting interrupted for other types of processing. Are you seeing these constantly? Is your CPU usage very high? |

Running the current latest: 0.10.0-beta4-amd64, on Ubuntu Server 20.04.3 Docker version 20.10.11. I'm seeing similar warnings about copies taking longer than 5 seconds. Record/clips directory is on a docker cifs (SMB3) local volume mount, with the database file on the local ssd storage. CPU is a Celeron J4105 running 6 cameras, all record at 1080p30, only 2 use a 960H 5fps substream for detect. With debug logging of record enabled, essentially all copies show as taking between .2 and .7 seconds, with the majority being between .2 and .3 seconds long. I've receive this WARN regarding >5 seconds to clear cache, mixed in with copy messages all of which list sub 1 second times. These WARN messages do not seem to be correlated with the start or end of the deleting/expiring recording operations. Record settings that I have changed, retain_days: 0, events: max_seconds: 3600 & retain: default: 30. As well as best_image_timeout: 120 on each camera. Long log section excerpt

On frigate 10 beta 4 I am seeing following warning though I don't see any issue with the recording.
[2021-11-30 12:45:59] frigate.record WARNING : Cache is taking longer than 5 seconds to clear. Your recordings disk may be too slow.
