Hello

I have and built a system that uses the DAC activity to turn on and off an amplifier and noticed that while using ifi-tidal that it turns on and stays on the entire time.

I would like to have the sound system released while nothing is actually being played back so that my amplifier will turn on and off on its own, rather than me having to manually do so each time I want to listen to music.

Thanks for any tips tricks
Scott

@giggywithit , did you manage to release sound system on playback stop, I think the playback actualy newer stops but only been paused because I always see last played song when connecting to Tidal connect from PC or mobile? I use it on OSMC system with Kodi as my local files player, but when I try to play anything from Kodi after playing with Tidal connect Kodi crashes and I need to reboot the system, probably due to hijacked audio card (Allo Boss DAC).
Would also love to see how you "built a system that uses the DAC activity to turn on and off an amplifier", if you'd be kind to post some guide, hint or anything...
thanks

I had raspotify working flawlesly on the same device but moved to tidal because I have free tidal-hifi on my mobile plan.
is there any way to send stop playback command to tidal-connect?

In Tidal application, switching to another audio output releases the sound card on the rpi.

But it still manual.
