## Can all my movie files be stored in one folder?

- No and the reason is that Radarr is a fork of [Sonarr](/sonarr), where every show has a folder. This limitation is a known pain point for some users and will *maybe* come in a future version, but it is **extremely unlikely**. Please note that it is not a simple change and effectively requires an entire rewrite of the backend.
- The [Custom Folder GitHub Issue](https://github.com/Radarr/Radarr/issues/153) technically covers this request, but it is no guarantee that all movie files in one folder will be implemented at that time or ever.
- If you're looking to moving all your movies from one folder to individual folders check out the [Tips and Tricks Section => Create a Folder for Each Movie](/radarr/tips-and-tricks#creating-a-folder-for-each-movie) article
- No. Radarr is a fork of [Sonarr](/sonarr) and thus requires that each movie be stored in individual folders. It is **highly unlikely** a flat file structure would ever be supported due to substantial backend modifications required.
- The [Custom Folder GitHub Issue](https://github.com/Radarr/Radarr/issues/153) addresses this request, but it is **unlikely** that it would allow all movie files to be housed in a single folder.
- For information on how to move your movies from a single folder to separate folders, refer to the [Tips and Tricks Section => Create a Folder for Each Movie](/radarr/tips-and-tricks#creating-a-folder-for-each-movie).
