Inspired by Billboard’s lists of longest-charting and longest-leading hits, I thought... why not do the same on Netflix's Global Top 10 list?
The Netflix datasets used for this exercise — all-weeks-countries.tsv, all-weeks-globa.tsv, and most-popular.tsv — cover exactly three years from June 28, 2021 (when the data was first collected) to June 28, 2024 (when the data was downloaded).
The results are then visualized via DataWrapper as part of our coursework for the Data Visualization class at the Columbia Journalism School’s Lede Program. (View the submitted data viz here.)
