tsx missing export

Steps to reproduce

• In shared dir:

  • run npm install

• In backend dir:

  • run npm install
  • run npm run build. There won't be any errors.
  • run node build/index.js. This will print "Hello World 42" to the console.
  • now try running npm run dev. You will get the following error:

  • set type in backend/package.json to commonjs
  • try running npm run dev again. This time the error will be gone and the code will print "Hello World 42" to the console

Notes

• This only seems to happen with enums (magicNumber (const) works just fine, Permission (enum) does not)
• This does not seem to be an issue when referencing the files directly, i.e. shared/index.ts and shared/permission.ts are moved to backend (without tsconfig references)
• It works fine when the enum is imported directly without forwarding (i.e. import { Permission } from "@/shared/permission"; instead of import { Permission } from "@/shared";)
